Nice editing to cut out all the context. He doesn't say they "do nothing". In fact he says that a booster is 88% effective at reducing hospitalization from omicron. Here is the full interview:

I wasn't suggesting boosters aren't effective. But the point is that we, as a very highly vaccinated country, are likely to benefit more from directing vaccine resources to countries with low vaccination rates, rather than hoarding booster doses for ourselves. Unless of course....you don't have faith in the vaccines. You ARE a true believer, right? Your Pfizer faith is as strong as its efficacy I hope.

It's silly to think that in a global pandemic, if we are all vaccinated behind our border, everything will suddenly be fine for us. Trudeau was even grilled on this by the media yesterday.
