Why should we worry about what's happening in the US aviation market. We live in a completely different country we have few airline operators that fly jets around the world its hard to compare such a thing with a big country called the united states where the government has funded billions in for the aviation industry to survive. Canada lacks behind alot of things from prices of house, gas, lack of jobs and alot more. There are protests going on at several different places here against the government and I agree its getting worse. But there's nothing that we can do unless if we all stick together and find a solution out of it but oh it's a public forum and instead of changing our negative thinking we still complain about alot of things and the rant goes on. I'm tired of seeing all this happening too but we need to have some patience with time and the stuff that's happening around us. I get the value in being positive but I'm legitimately scared for peoples safety and the future of this career. The government is more than happy to let TFW's come if Canadians every say no to the ever lowering wages.
Add in the fact $28k is normal for air ambulance pilots, And regional bases are in the 4th or 8th least affordable city in the world and you're going to get the same shit as colgan where we have crashes from people sleeping 3 hours in a crew room because forty something thousand doesn't' go far in Vancouver.
