Where's my Airbus?
Im sick and tired of hearing punk b**ch a$$ pilots complaining about how unfair this world is because Air Canada didn't hire me.
Ive seen so many pilots with 2,3 or 4 thousand hours that can't handle an aircraft worth sh*t. Ive seen pilots with loads of experience that can't even land a light twin in a crosswind without either smashing the aircraft on the tarmac or leaving enough rubber on the runway to make it look like a drag strip...but wait....where's my damn Airbus?? why am I not on a 340 yet?? this world is so unfair....Ill smash your plane on the ground, wear your brakes like there's no tomorrow, Ill make your passengers puke cuz Im sooo smooth, Ill cost the company thousands in maintenance expenses cuz I just don't give a f*ck, Ill scare everyone once in while by almost running off the end or the 15000' runway...and then....Ill b*tch about how unfair the world is because she got in and I didnt....he had a connection, its not fair, they got lucky unfair.
All you players out there, you know who you are, give your head a shake, how about you folks learn to become AIRLINE pilots before you ask for a job with a major AIRLINE. Learn the skill required before wanting to play in the majors. So many pilots are in such a rush to get to the Airbus they forget it actually requires a certain amount of skill to fly.
Instead of b*tching about the job you dont have, try improving your skill and attitude with the job you actually have, try being a professional and people will notice, maybe then the bus will let you in.

Putting money into aviation is like wiping before you poop....it just don't make sense!
why don't we first qualify flying.
and that does not really include the "Airbus mentality"
Your points regards the 3 series are not valid mate
It does not require a "pilot" it required a management degree, it requires good typing skills, but piloting skills are not a pre requisite.
Learning the Airbus requires a different approach, kinda like looking through a telescope the wrong way round.
Note that few who "fly" Airbus have a passion when they describe it, lots of comments regards what it does, what it may do, and what it can do, but not many about how "you" do it. It is a programming exersise.
Kinda like banging a fat chick, you don't tell your friends, and you should only do it at night!
Seriously, Airline pilots do not enter the job as "Airline Pilots" they are taught the procedures and the decision making process, this is a function of training, ground school, sim, indoc, line training, and sector experience, it takes time. They are not expected to know the job prior to entry, thats why it takes time. And background has very little to do with it, the basic entry requirements are a good learning attitude, the rest is taught.
You sound like the type of fellow I consider a nightmare in Line Training, a over confident know it all, wanting to skip the entire FO, CPT experience, and go straight to LT CPT.
I can only surmise that you have failed in exactly the process you describe.
