I had this query in my head since joined the forum. Well, I'm an EASA part 66 B1.2 licence holder. I'm thinking to come to Canada for immigration purposes. So, how can I work as an AME? Do Canadian CAA provides a conversion? or do people having EASA licence work there?

CAR 566 has all the information you need. EASA licenses do count towards experience but it is a process. Right now there’s an industry shakeup due to the two years of COVID19 pandemic. Flying is way down largely however lots of ames have left the industry due to the lack of work. Now we’re seeing an upswing (not huge) and employers are having difficulties finding ames. Might be a choice time for you to do it. Your best bet is to get in contact with whatever regional transport Canada office you’ll be dealing with and get it from them. Their standards department can expedite things if done properly.
