Harvy's air online ground school CPAER prep

Post by dot123 »

hello all,

I have purchased Harvy's air ground school for preparation of my CPAER (more so prep for the qualifier by my ftu to get the rec letter) as I heard the reviews were great. I am sorta on a time constraint as I have my exam on the 7th of april and I have 2 and a half topics out of the 4 yet to study. Air law was a breeze, but I'm hearing the harvy's air online gs is overkill and was wondering what I should omit to use my time for preparing more wisely. I have seen that the met section has quite a bit of presentations on weather radar and stuff like that which we haven't been taught by our ftu and furthermore, I can't find those topics on the TC study guide for the CPAER. I would just like to know if any of you bought the Harvy's air gs and did their CPAER and could tell me what presentations I should ignore? The two remaining topics I have yet to study is gen and nav.

I guess you answered your own question. Just study what's in the TC study and reference guide for the commercial written. What I did is I had the guide out in front of me then each topic I studied and was happy I checked it off. Skip everything else I guess and do it if you have time

Harvs Air will provide you with the recommendation letter to do the exam but you probably have to complete the whole ground school, which really means doing all the quizzes

edit** I am not encouraging you to skip I don't think you should skip anything, do it right like the rest of everyone. If you don't like the ground school choose another. If you don't have time, make time. I did harvs for CPL and ATPL exams and I read every slide, watch every video and did every quiz etc etc

So... you want the recommend showing you've completed your CPL level ground school, but don't want to actually complete the entire ground school.

Interesting.

Is Harvy's Air a knock off version of Harv’s Air? If not, what a great way to get brand recognition based off of other people’s work!
