Backfill?

Post by Admiral Benson »

With new hire courses on the horizon as well as AC hiring do you think there will be a backfill of CA positions soon? Or better yet perhaps a summer equipment bid?

I'm quite confident there will be a summer bid, with vacancies. But that's just a guess.

Any attrition vacancies between now and September 2022 that are below the baseline will be backfilled by standing bid (baseline from Bid 2022-01 subject to modification with consent from the CRC).

There will be a regular Equipment Bid mid-August (closing end of August) which will contain Effective Dates commencing in November.

Personally I don't think so unless AC miraculously starts talking alot of guys. Training of every one will take till the summer, and that's just for recalls/type changes

The last Bid Award did not include a flow ‘buffer’. As a result, Jazz will be short CA as flow begins to AC (June?).

There will be backfilling awards for CA vacancies created by flow/resignation at company discretion. Jazz cannot afford to wait until the results of the August equipment bid to fill CA vacancies that are likely just around the corner. The August equipment bid would not identify CA awards with Effective Date prior to November.

As always, subject to training resource availability.

Technically an unofficial rumour at this point. But there will be a backfill before the end of May.

How many FOs have the qualifications to upgrade right now? The number must not be high…

Higher than it was pre-covid I'm sure. People had a few months to grind that PIC time!
