Now that WestJet has seemingly switched their application process to Workopolis, a coverletter must be posted (presumeably in addition to the answer to the question 'Why Westjet?'). Who's name should I address the coverletter to? PM me if necessary. Thanks.

we switched to workopolis because the old sonic system couldn't do alot of the behind the scenes things we needed. Ramen is no longer the pilot contact. Gina Caruana is if you need any questions answered. she is a recruiter working for us in flt ops. Next course Feb 26 next ones every 3 weeks after. 4 more dates for interviews in Feb and 11 dates for interviews in March. As far as the name on the coverletter...it doesn't really matter. Kevin Ken or Paul is fine. FL.
I would guess yes. And for many, that would be the third time, since they switched over from ANOTHER system in late 2004. Honestly if there is any department of WJ that has it's head further up their collective asses than HR, I cannot fathom which it could be.
And no, I will not call it the "People Department"! It's a business, not summer camp, no matter how hard it is to tell sometimes!

I’m still waiting for my white male privilege membership card. Must have gotten lost in the mail.

I second that. Gina Caruso has barely been at WJ two years and she does have her head up her ass. Don't get me started....one of her interview questions to me was "How much experience do you have with a 708 operator?"
I agree!! we are going to change that trickkles.....Both her and Ramen(the old girl) just don't get the pilot thing. We are aware of this and are going to fix it soon. Thanks for your input.
Are internal references a "must" in order to get an interview? I understand that like in any job, in any industry they are most useful, but I had heard that without them at WJ, you can pretty much forget it. True? or just BS? Thanks.
