Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
Guys, I have attached the screenshot of my issue at the bottom.
So I recently discovered this service provided by TC. I was successful logging in on the website using my GC Key. And I would always come to a halt. So I tried the "New User Request" button, filled out all the info and submitted it. No response. No change. I have talked with TC agents to maybe get the activation key granted by them. To noone's surprise, none of them have any idea nor did they know this site even existed. Their solution for me was to contact Ottawa. No contact information given.
Has anyone seen the same screen? Has anyone filled out the new user request section and gotten a response from them? Please do share some experience with GARLO if you have any

From the instructions page:
To obtain activation key to permit access to your records you must submit a New User Request. Your activation key will be mailed to the address on file with the General Aviation office. Once you have received your activation key letter sign in and enter the activation key. This will allow access to your records.
You may just have to wait for the letter to arrive by snail mail.

Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
As with everything at TC these days you can expect a delay on that... I think it took them something in the order of close to a year before they sent me the key. So much time had passed I had forgotten what it was all about...
Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
Yup. New user request and wait for the mailed key to whatever address is last known by TC.
If you submitted multiple requests, you might receive multiple letters, and the first one may or may not work anymore.

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
Can confirm that a second request will make the first one stop working as they'll cancel the temporary key when they issue the second one. Happened to me, I called when the first one didn't work and they said a second one was requested so the first one wouldn't work... They couldn't help me over the phone, said I had to wait for the second one.
Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
Just recieved mine in the mail, roughly 10 months after submitting the request.
Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
Thats a long wait. Mine took just over a month when I first set up the account a little over a year ago. Super useful site thou. Excellent way to see how TC takes OVER A YEAR to process a medical renewal

Glad I did mine years ago. Took no time at all.

Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
I just got my first type rating 3 weeks ago. It shows my PPC which is passed on the main page with all my exams. I'm wondering where does the type rating show up on GARLO? Will it be on the page where it shows my Class 2, CPL, and MIFR? Hope that makes sense.
Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
If you click your licence, the page that opens will show your blanket type rating, aircraft type rating, and instrument rating details.780Pilot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:35 am I just got my first type rating 3 weeks ago. Circled red part shows where my lonesome type rating is.

Re: Q on GARLO, general aviation online services
It should show up in the details section when you click on the licence link at the top of that page (Airline Transport Pilot - Aeroplane in my case) There is a section for type ratings…780Pilot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:35 am I just got my first type rating 3 weeks ago.
