Post FEAST interview email - question.

Hello, I just got an email that I have moved to the interview stage but am a bit confused as in the email they state the following

“ your score fell below our minimum pass mark for FSS and you have not been selected to proceed in this stream. However, you met the minimum pass mark for ATC and may be invited for additional testing in this stream. If you are only interested in a career as a Flight Service Specialist, please withdraw your application in Workday.”

I thought FSS was the “lower” of the 2 streams so do you think this is an error or is ATC in-fact a lower passing mark? Either way i got the interview so yay, hope others are receiving good news in their emails today

There were multiple tests during Feast. Maybe different test were used to evaluate your potential for each stream.

Hmm yea i guess maybe i actually scored high enough that i wont be streamed FSS but instead ATC, the email was just worded very strangely

Did you get the actual interview invitation or just the email that you passed and will be considered for interviews? Mine stated "...After review of testing results, you have achieved the minimum pass mark and may be considered for further testing for ATC or FSS..." My Workday status has also changed to "Interview".

Received the same email as you just that i didn't meet the pass mark for FSS, i just always thought FSS was lower than ATC so confused how i passed ATC but not FSS

Yea that sure is strange. Best to email them and ask.

Congrats! And I was also under the same impression.This is the email I got today:
"After review of testing results, your score fell below our minimum pass mark for ATC and you have not been selected to proceed in this stream. However, you met the minimum pass mark for FSS and may be invited for additional testing in this stream. If you are only interested in a career as an Air Traffic Controller, please withdraw your application in Workday." I'm stoked for getting to continue in the process regardless, but I guess I definitely got excited about the ATC prospect! Oh well, maybe one day.

Congrats! If you're able, let us know if you find out the reason for this since I'm sure no one's really heard about this unique situation and it could unlock some insights into the process or FEAST tests. I'm wondering if it's a distinction between FEAST I and II that calls for this.

Can I assume the ATC and FSS does not have the same salary bracket?
I am sorry to bother everyone. But anyone here with experience can tell us if they have a different union for each?
Also is there difference in the next step interview between the two stream? (Of course since they will test me on the FSS I am more curious about what the next step of FSS interview is like)

I got more questions about FSS... honestly I dont know where else I can find more info. Anyone can point me to the right direction? Thanks!

Your assumption is correct. CATCA represents ATC. ATSAC represents FSS.

Hello all! Thank you for all tye replies, I received a response from Nav Can.

“Thank you for your email!

We have slightly different requirements for the positions and therefore it is possible to pass for ATC, but not for FSS.

Your assumption is correct. CATCA represents ATC. ATSAC represents FSS.

Ouch... I was hoping to look up the work condition... such as how hours/days a week, and OT opportunities.
I heard about ATC where they were always asking for people ot OT. But I wasnt even sure about FSS.
If with OT i will earn 50% more than what I am earning right now, then I will be able to quit my airline job...
Otherwise I might want to know how to be assigned close to major cities near airport so I can work both... which I dont even know if its possible until I know the work hour ratio...
Let alone passing the 2nd assessment...
