Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
Plane: Heavy jet
Seat: Captain
Sched: ~ 8-10 hard days off a month, remainder scheduled on one of three aircrafts with a 2 hour call out (rare), actual "reserve" days are very rare.
Salary: Base for 2022 is ~ $232,000 plus 4% contribution to REER, plus bonus, plus overtime ($1350/day).
Per Diem: Too low for Canada and USA at $100 CAD or USD per day, 128 Euros in Europe which is decent for now.
Note #1: Medical paid at 80% plus short term and long term disability pay. In case of death, two times your salary (not good for a pilot).
Note #2: For the overtime pay, if they call you on one of your scheduled days "OFF" and you accept the flight you get compensated at a rate of $1350/day (heavy jet) regardless of the amount of time on duty for that day. FYI, this year so far I have accumulated 9 days of O/T (+$12,150).
Note #3: Not really pay related but certainly part of the quality of life while flying, extras like car rentals are not frowned of, deadheading for crew changes are done in business class and hotels are usually at full service type Marriotts of equivalent (no Motel 6 here). Also cell phone and iPad supplied by the company.

Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
Sorry folks. Corporations don’t publicize wages for all of their employees, including pilots. Unlike the airline side of the industry which relies on more of a formula for each pilot/union member, there is more freedom with settings wages for a given individual in the corporate world. The experience they bring to the group and what the department needs at that time. Each situation is different based on locale, schedule, equipment and related industry and so on.
Seniority has a lot to do with it too. Starting salaries at some are ok, but if you give it a few years, with bonuses, stock options and pensions, it starts to add up very quickly.
Each true corporate department can vary quite a bit but generally they are all excellent places to work and the compensations are equal to that. Now, once you start fanning out to the fractional departments or larger managed aviation groups, things get closer to airline salary structures; (mileage or block hours or defined salaries per year of service) as well as other benefits. When you have more people to look after, formulas become your friend, especially when you are tasked with making money with with your aircraft operations, opposed to using the aircraft in a supporting role for the larger corporate. We don’t make money. We are a tool for our higher ups, to allow them to do their job effectively.
CBAA’s numbers include the whole 604 world. That is a big net to try to find your specific renumeration package. Even if everyone reported their numbers/accurately.

Wow. What company is this? lol - sounds like a pretty amazing job.
Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
Wondering if anybody has seen a copy of the new compensation survey presented at CBAA last week. Employer is supposed to make an adjustment based on it.

Why are you repetitively posting on a Canadian aviation forum if you hate this industry so much? (Your past posts seem to indicate only vitriol with a healthy dose of much resentment…)

Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
I post when there’s something valid to state. That salary sucks. For the record I don’t hate the trade, I hate what some operators offer for rates and wages thus driving the industry into the toilet. Everyone should be concerned about fair wages. There’s a notable difference between “vitriol” and fact. This industry in Canada is in horrible shape, I’ve been doing this a very long time and can say that with experience.TeePeeCreeper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 11:18 pmHonest question;Bug_Stomper_01 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 12:38 pmYUCKthrowawaycorporate wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 5:39 pm In other aviation forums there is always a salary thread. Are you talking Challenger 350 size? There was an ad just put out for a PC12 capt 90-137Kaviatorcariboo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 6:21 pm Plane: Mid-size jet

Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
Challenger 350 is usually considered a "supermid". I assume the other poster is flying something along the lines of a citation XL. The FO pay and captain pay are both low though - by several 10s of thousands.throwawaycorporate wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 10:37 pmAre you talking Challenger 350 size? Re: 2022 Corporate/Charter Salaries
This is absolute trash man. Fixed schedule but you're still away half the month. You need to do some negotiating. Are you bonded? You should be making 120k minimum and your FO 60k.aviatorcariboo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 6:21 pm Plane: Mid-size jet

You're absolutely right, it's definitely not great. Just to pile it on, there is also a bond, yes.
And in my opinion, it's insulting that FO's get half of captain pay. FO's across the board need to be paid more. I'm glad to see some companies upping salaries lately, but especially experienced FO's deserve more respect in regards to compensation.
