Does your CAT 1 need to be completed by the Air Canada doctor each year? Or is it just the initial new hires?
Can you still renew your medical with your local CAME?

Re: Air Canada Medical
You can get your Cat 1 done elsewhere, but you still have to submit to a company medical annually. And if they see something they'll flag it, so you might as well save the money and have them do it.
They will want to do things on top of a Cat 1, ie. blood work, but after your initial new hire screening you aren't required to submit to anything beyond the Cat 1 requirements.

As far as I know, your CAT 1 needs to be completed by the Air Canada doctor each year. However, you can do your Cat 1 elsewhere. I don't see the point in having treatment elsewhere if you can have it done where you were before.
