To get a Degree or Not

Hi,

I am just finishing high school and got good marks with some scholarships

I've been accepted to University of Manitoba and considering what to do for my future.

I've started my private, did my solo and I love it

But seeing what happened to some pilots during Covid wasn't encouraging. Plus the new hire pay at the biggest airline isn't very motivating. It's actually insulting after all the school, money, training and experience one needs. I'm not sure who negotiated that but I hope they are not involved in aviation anymore.

I would appreciate any insight on what the best options are in the post covid era and the outlook for aviation in Canada. I like school and learning new things. Appreciate the help!
