You’re absolutely correct, the contract is sh!t at Jazz.

You’ve got an ALPA union of a regional carrier competing against both ACPA and AC management. 2 against 1 will lose every time.

Post Covid we can compare the track records of each union, ALPA vs. ACPA.

ALPA appears to firing on all cylinders down south with almost all pilot groups getting SIGNIFICANT salary and lifestyle improvements. There’s a great deal of experience here we can utilize for our own contract by signing ALPA.

ACPA got us a cherry cargo deal and a YVR rep that chooses to stay on after 68% of his base tried to fire him.

I know how I’m voting! Voting to get rid of the current dumpster fire that is ACPA.

Actually, you don’t need an elected rep to advance a card drive. But it doesn’t hurt.

However, choosing elected reps that want to conduct a serious and objective evaluation of an ACPA/ALPA merger would likely be beneficial if you are leaning that way.

Thanks for that. From my short experience of ACPA, I've seen enough

Very curious to see the results of the new NMEC position vote. The writing will be on the wall like never seen before.

Time to get out of the way, as the days of "zero sum" bargaining are ending. Time to actually make ground, instead of losing it, or trading it for peanuts or worst of all the gift that keeps on giving...."goodwill". Never an -ounce of goodwill- have we been re-paid.

Little late for me, but high time. Good on the junior Membership for righting the course. We seniors have consistently failed you on an epic scale. I apologize on my, and their behalf.

Votes still need to be counted, nothing has been decided quiet yet.

Is it possible to track the voter turnout once you’ve submitted your vote? I can’t find the breakdown anymore now that I’ve voted and my link is closed.

Hoping we see a fairly large turnout.

If you find your current antacid is not doing the trick in these trying times may I suggest Nexium 24H. I had the same problem when the cargo deal came out.

And ACPA has long been neutered. Those balls aren't growing back...

There were hints with JMB & Strach, but it's long gone now. ACPA is a systemic cuck.

You mention The Ratt. The FOS imposed by Raitt was illegal, rightfully ACPA launched a charter challenge at the time and precedent showed we would have won and had the imposed arbitration struck down. Think about the losses in that, B-scale, pension, 4 year flat, scope, FO pay, and more...

But the cucks had worked their way back in by then and instructed ACPA Legal to pull the slam dunk lawsuit, because you know lawsuits are expensive and hard, and we have to keep our powder dry. Then they solidified our losses with the 10 year deal, under which the losses since are arguably greater than FOS itself,

I see the architect of all that, one of the 27, a former ACPA MEC Chair, a former ACPA NC Chair, a former ACPA IAC Chair, is now employed by WJ to do some union busting over there in their upcoming contract.

Another one of the 27, the subject of the recent failed lifetime membership vote, long time CMSC Chair and management pal is shackled up in crew planning teaching the new architects there how to leverage us harder.

Those are the "unionists" that have been running and representing us at ACPA for the past 20 years. Management bitches. ACPA is full of them. Weak, scared, compliant... but out for dinner with Calin and Mike and in the box at the Leafs game... they sure are important.

Burn it down. Walk away. Don't let anyone from the old guard back in. Management will kick and scream that they don't like the new people they have to deal with but eventually they will have to face a new reality.

What does the former Minister's attractiveness have to do with any of this?

As for intelligence. Intelligent enough to know that cargo was a pay cut.

Intelligent enough to know pilot costs are less than 3% of operating cost. A 10% reduction of 3% is mice nuts.

Intelligent enough to know that we have never recovered from the pay reductions we have taken over the years to Capture work.

Intelligent enough to know that article one already states we own all the flying above 90 seats.

Intelligent enough to know that taking pay cuts to capture work you already own is .........rather silly.

Intelligent enough to see ACPA's performance for what it is.

Intelligent enough to produce comparisons ACPA would rather no one show you.

Intelligent enough to know that the company has had us on the mat for years. In order to get up there is going to be the need for struggle and determination. That boot on our neck won't remove itself.

Intelligent enough to know not everyone will be on board.

Intelligent enough to know there are risks.

Intelligent enough to know that neither ACPA or the company will like what they see

Testosterone/ Estrogen enough to plug ahead anyway.
