Base Manager Posting

Post by Mutt »

There is posting in the jobs section for a base manger in YRL. Its the second time the job has been there in recent memory. The pay seems decent or is the cost of living in YRL to high for the dollars being offered. I did a search of past posts for Wasaya and opinions are all over the place, I guess that should come as no surprise. Anybody have any insight as to what the position might be like and what one can expect living and working in YRL for this outfit?

Expect anything. When I was there the base manager looked like he was going to die of dtree daily. Its not a job for the weak of heart. It will not lead into flying. It is for Wasaya Airways.

Cheers

Of the last group that went through the interviews, everyone turned the job down, apparently. So what does that tell you? Also the pay offered was excellent, even by YRL standards. The hours are stink and it a whole lot of respect won't be found in the job. Proceed with caution.

Any idea how many went through the interviews? Do they fly you to YRL for the interview? How old is your intel? Can you expand on "the hours are stink" and what you mean by not a lot of respect being found in the job. Are you saying the pilots and others that you presumably direct don't respect the position?
