Non Rotation Medevac Schedules ???

Post by b3rt98 »

Does anyone know of any medevac operators in Canada that are not operating on a rotation, either 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 4 days on 4 days off? From every post I seen it appears only one medevac operation in Canada is not doing a rotation of some sort but curious if anyone knows of some others, TIA

How does a non rotational medevac job work?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

I think the OP has the terms 'rotation' and 'shift' confused.

Rotations happen when they ship you off to some ugly place for a couple weeks, tend to be 2 weeks in and two weeks out.

Medevac jobs operating from 'home base' tend to be shift work, 4 on, 4 off.

Since medevac requires 24x7x365 coverge, not likely to ever find a medevac situation that isn't shift work.

yeah you are correct, shift work or rotation depending on the base. Only company that doesn't have rotation or shift work (with equal time off) seems to be Rise Air as mentioned above.

Carson Air in YLW used to be 4 days on, 1 on call and 5 off. Daytime only. Pretty sweet gig for the lifestyle beside your usual 703 payscale.
YVR base is both day and night
