Flair YYZ Sim Center

Post by tbaylx »

Flair announced its first FTD training device purchase from MPS aero. The device will be the first simulator for Flair's YYZ training center.

Today, Flair Airlines, Canada’s leading ultra-low fare airline, and MPS, a leading airline flight simulator company, announced that the airline has selected MPS for a Boeing 737 MAX flight training device (FTD), rated at FAA level 5. The simulator is expected to be installed early to mid-2023 in Toronto, Canada. The MPS simulator will be used by Flair Airlines to keep its pilots current on all training related to the Boeing 737 MAX, ensuring the safest skies possible.

“We are thrilled to partner with MPS and deliver a world-class training tool for our current and future pilots that is the first-of-its-kind in Canada. The MPS device is the leader in its class and ensures as our team grows, we will provide industry-leading training that concentrates on the tool-to-task approach. As Canada’s only independent low-fare airline, we are committed to providing quality and value for all Canadians, and our choice of training partners solidifies this commitment,” said Grey Cooper, Flair Airlines Manager, Pilot Training.

Philip Adrian, MPS Chief Executive Officer said: “MPS is excited to partner with the Flair Airlines team to provide training for its expanding Boeing 737 MAX fleet as they lead the Canadian airline industry in low-cost travel while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. To achieve ultimate cost savings, our partnership will also aim to create a blended learning environment for Flair Airlines pilots through usage of the simulator and other MPS training solutions.”
