anyone have any info on he Porter airlines interviews, They started on monday I heard. What the pay, schedule, benefits, interline???? anyone how had one wish to post any info on them
72k not enough to live in YYZ? how the hell are all the EMB drivers, etc doing it on much less. come on, get real. Eeveryone seems to find the bad in everything, its just unbelievable on here.
I think $45k for starting F/O is a pretty respectable pay...then again with 3000hrs they ask for an F/O, you can go to Cathy and make double that, and fly muchos grandes aeroplanes
Any more info on the interview. Technical questions on your current aircraft, turbine questions, any on the Q400??? Or were they all HR questions? Any word on a training bond?
Has anybody heard as to how they are coming with regards to licences, ops certificates etc. Are they really going to go, or should I stick with the job I have?

I read in the Globe and Mail a couple days ago that they haven't even sent in their application for an AOC yet. I'm not sure how long that process takes to get an AOC. When is their start-up date?

Nothing ventured nothing gained.
I was fortunate to be selected for an interview with Porter and attended and was very impressed. The staff that was on hand was very pleasant and professional and the interview was very relaxed.
The interview was all behavioural (HR) and no technical and I left there with a very good feeling about the company as I asked a lot of questions and got answers to them all.
It's interesting to note that they had applied for their AOC some months ago yet the Globe is saying otherwise.
With Robert Deluce and the management team at Porter, I feel very confident that this airline will be a success.
