“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.”

Just now, on Twitter:
“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.”
What, Canada doesn’t have any working missiles?
Anything to engineer a bump in his ratings…..
I would rather the Americans waste ammo than for us to have to pay for it. We're already going to spend $1 billion on renovating the Ontario legislature.
Our air defence missile system is unusable as it hasn't been maintained and was decommissioned years ago... Canadian military leaders have been urging Canada to purchase a replacement since 2012, to which our procurement politicians have waffled and wafered...
Of course when the Ukraine was identified as needing a system though, Canada ponied up right away and bought them the exact system our general have been asking for.

We couldn't have shot it down...

P.S. It’s a good thing we have big brother next door to do the shooting since we have a handful of 40 year old jets at only 2 bases.
Our military is more concerned with triggering pilot call signs and who banged who 10 years ago.
Yeah, they shot it down with their 67 year old Sidewinders, which I'm sure our middle aged CF-18s could probably have managed too.

Yes first officer Crunch, I’m sure their F-22s and Sidewinders are 67 years old.
One of their National Guard bases likely have more airworthy fighters than our entire country.

So you're dull enough to believe, because it has the same model name, that what was shot out of the F-22 is of the same variety as what was introduced in the late 1950's, and you have the arrogance to attempt to ridicule ANYBODY else based on that infantile ignorance???
