28 years old looking for guidance
Hi everyone so I’m 28 and have no diploma
Or degree. I did a year of business management at brock university after high school, but dropped out because of certain reasons.
I’ve been working customer service at Air Canada for the last 6 years and been wanting to become a pilot ever since I got the first airline experience. I know it’s different, but getting the opportunity to speak to some is really pushing me to just go for it.
I was planning to go to Confederation college and get a diploma as I don’t currently have one but missed the application deadline so would have to wait until next year.
Is there any alternative to confederation where I’ll get a diploma and cpl within 3 years?
Would you recommend me going private even if I don’t currently have a diploma?
I have 70k saved, but those are my life savings right now so I really didn’t want to put the full amount towards school.
If it helps AC has airports in Thunder Bay so I’m sure I can transfer.
Any advice or tips? Recommendations? I’m all ears!

To start, what do you want to eventually fly? Airline? Floats? Medevac?
Also, what are your family circumstances? (Wife/kids)

I would recommend to go as quick as possible to get yourself to a position where you are competitive. You want to get in before the wave goes

To get yourself in a position where you are competitive, I would advise moving as quickly as you can. Prior to the wave going out, you want to enter monkey mart
