Would you mind sharing your timeline, or at least when you completed the bootcamp / interview? Thanks.

Congrats, No I also got the same error!
Huh?! Are you saying that NAV Canada doesn’t provide lodging/barracks for you when you go on training, and you’ll be forced to find your own way to live in Toronto on a $49k salary for up to 2 years?? I really hope that’s not what you’re saying.nrgxlr8tr wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 2:13 pm I would suggest looking at student housing for one of the universities in the area. Look at UTM, York, Centennial. Generally speaking the landlords near colleges are scummier than the ones near universities. You can look for sublets where people let for 4-8 months at a time, usually beginning on January, May, and September. In the event you get CTd this would also limit the financial aspect of being binded to a year+ lease (and keep in mind you would be out of salary too).
Not too long ago they not only didn't provide room and board, they didn't pay a salary either. Not since centralized training in Cornwall did the put you up with room and board for ab initio training. Once you moved to a region you were on your own with a training salary.captainyow96 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 12:09 am

No. The salary is now closer to 52 and there is relocation assistance to the tune of $545 b/w. But no, there are no barracks, this isn't the CBSA.captainyow96 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 12:09 amHuh?! Curious what you’re trying to accomplish by wining about this on multiple forums.captainyow96 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 12:09 amHuh?! People survive in YYZ and YVR on less than 52k/year. If you're not willing to get a roommate or follow a simple budget to make this career work maybe you should look for something else, because it is more than doable with just a slight bit of discipline.yoshi91 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 2:45 pmCurious what you’re trying to accomplish by wining about this on multiple forums.captainyow96 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 12:09 amHuh?! Yea it’s difficult for some, but people obviously are able to make it work. Also the job requires you to be adaptable and receptive to change, sounds like this job may not be for you.
