What is the best Air Canada aircraft to fly?

Aircraft Preference

In your opinion, what is the best aircraft to fly? Schedule, pay, and quality of life is definitely a factor in one's decision, but if those were all the same, what aircraft would you say is the most rewarding aircraft to fly?

This will be tough to answer. So many variables. 787 YVR? IDK. Sure as hell won't be the 320. Trust me :lol:

How times have changed. When I was a 320 Captain, I flew 7 days a month. A BGI turn every Thursday and 3 SFO turns on Tuesdays. Best block in the airline. Throw in a BOG layover, or YYT layover in July for diversity.

if Schedule, pay, and quality of life were all the same probably the Boeings. 767 and 777 have lots of power. The max has no fly by wire so a pleasure to hand fly. The 787 is probably the most comfortable out of the 4

No kidding. I used to be envious of my friends LAX, SFO and MEX layovers when he was a 320 skipper. Now I'm on it and all I ever see is domestic pairings :(

I guess the MAX and 220 took the good flying away. I'm sure when the NEO's arrive it will get good again, but that's a couple years away.

What’s the latest with what aircraft are in each base now ? And what the best to pick A/C to make it to YVR

The best aircraft is the one you are the most senior on in general but you will have a pay sacrifice for that. If you live in base reserve isn’t bad but if you commute it’s horrible

Ole YYT can be a fun place July/August , not an airline driver myself(never was) however 35-40 years back I had good times in St. John’s George St. Notable spots Christians, Greensleeves, Sundance to name a few. There was a small quaint place on the corner steeps coming down from Duckworth St to George Street called T.G. I. F. My second youngest sister worked there part time while she was finishing her Arts/Education degree at MUN back then and it was a favourite spot for Air Canada FAs she said, on quiet nights she would chat with them. They(FAs) were quite nice my sister said , very personable.

Of course west end of George Street was The Cotton Club 8)
