You've lost more in wages and working conditions to Swoop and soon to Sunwing than you ever will to Flair. We raised our Captain hourly wages to match yours, yet Swoop's wages stayed in the basement. You are being played, and you know it. You deserve wages on par with our US counterparts, and when you raise them, AC will have to follow suit. I am an AC guy. Every single one of us is guilty. AC, WS, AT, Sunwing etc.. you have guys like the original Swoopers, AC guys who signed on for cargo at -10 etc.. Flair has actually been around for less time. We all need to raise the bar BIG TIME.

Don't fall for this. I'm not one to say we have a good contract right now at flair, but it is voted and we'll have to wait.

That being said westjet management saying you can't get wages to a North American standard because of flair being the competition is absolute bullshit. We operate 20 aircraft as of now, westjet operates over 100 737 counting Swoop, not even mentioning sunwing. Plus the regionals if you want to add those but I find regionals are irrelevant in this case.

Flair is far from the threat westjet offices would have you believe, and maybe down the line that's gonna change but right now that's just management playing you.

Hope you get what the westjet membership deserves, if I can I'll make it to your picket line.
