Alexis posted a tweet with a strange emoji at the end.
We regret the union @WestJetALPA has served a strike notice. Our offer would have made our valued
@WestJet pilots by far the best paid in Canada. As the union maintains unreasonable expectations we see no alternative then to lock them out as of Friday
The tweet ended with a "happy face tear" emoji. Seriously, like WTF.......

Mocking the pilots & passengers.

Didn't he comment that he would rather fly fewer airplanes than agree to a market competitive pilot contract.
Then WestJet bought Sunwing which adds airplanes.
Contradiction of behavior.

Shrink WestJet, use Sunwing instead. Does he care about the pilots? Is he crying for them?
Would he cry for them putting them out of work in the plan to reduce the WestJet fleet?

I see the translation as “ my negotiators couldn’t break you. I had better show up, because I am the only one who can authorize higher wages”

It would be hard to think of a less intimidating individual. Perhaps his title provides the intimidation. 🥲
