ALPA sent an airline economic & finance expert to review WestJets financials, allowed access to the details which the MEC & public can’t see. They’re able to build a financial model which ALPA can use in the negotiations & costing proposals. ALPA knows what’s financially possible for the company.

Expect the WJ CEO to go to media with excuses why higher pay can’t be
Shifting blame away from himself for poor management of the company & negotiations which he joined 9 months late


He’s already tried to blame covid, even though the WHO & governments have declared the pandemic over.
Borders are open for air travel to vaccinated and unvaccinated.

He's blamed the financial losses from the IT outage, which WestJet's responsible for.

He's shifted blame to the weather at the start of the year for loss.

With the IT issues and weather, WestJet had dollars to purchase Sunwing
