Operations to be fully integrated by the end of October. Time to unswoop the swooped routes and crew!

All Swoop employees to be integrated into mainline. Will YHM crew go to YYZ or will Westjet maintain a small base?

To all those ALPA haters over the past six years, both at WJ and AC, I just wanted to politely say EAT SH*T!

I'm so sick and tired of hearing all the whining "wHaT hAs ALPA DOnE FoR WJ PilOts?", as though any of these clowns spouting this drivel have EVER done ANYTHING for the profession. WJ launched Swoop, the pilots united under ALPA, and today Swoop is DEAD. RIP! Will you idiots please STFU now?!

Will YHM become a base?
Possibly..
WJ has stated publicly that they will announce this fall, the opening of two more permanent bases.
YWG and YHZ have been bandied about, but now we can add YHM to the speculation.

Perhaps YHM and other WO bases will become a WG base? It seems to make more sense to fly 189 seat aircraft than 174 over the ULCC orientated point-to-point routes. Perhaps WG operations will be more closely integrated by Oct, too?

Now the man is upset, but his trust in the wise rabbi is so strong, he does as instructed. He comes back in two weeks.
"Rabbi, this is unmanageable. You haven't solved my problem. We still have the small house and now we're stuck with a cat, dog and goat"
"Tell you what my son. Get rid of the cat, dog and goat and come back in two weeks and tell me what it's like"

Man comes back in two weeks:
"Oh rabbi, we have so much space now with the animals gone. Life is great".

The difference in the Swoop case though was that the pilots and other WestJetters didn’t chose to get a cat, dog or goat. It would be more like a man rented an apartment and his landlord said “hey, you need to have this cat, dog and goat come stay with you!” And the man responds, ya, that’s not a good idea. But the landlord didn’t listen and instead “no, no, trust me, this will be good.”

Then a couple months later when the landlord comes back he is confused why the apartment is a mess when the whole time the tenant was telling him it’s a bad idea.
