Who are we?

Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted a clientele looking for a comfortable, efficient and safe flying experience.

After a decade of operations, Chrono Aviation has grown its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 280 people. Chrono is the only airline in Quebec that offers aircraft that can accommodate from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter.   With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its leadership position in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.

Role and context

The prerequisites to join our great team:

•             Agree to work from YQB
•             Have a valid Pilot Proficiency Check on the DASH-8 100
•             Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
•             Qualification for two-crew aircraft
•             Valid Transport Canada Category 1 medical certificate
•             3000 hours as a Captain on a commercial aircraft
•             Valid Canadian passport
•             Be legally entitled to work in Canada
•             Be bilingual (English and French)

It’s a well known fact that companies in the province of Québec have never paid industry standard. Heck, most if not all of Canada including the “NHL” of airlines such as Air Canada also pay peanuts… (whose idea was it to come out with 4 years of flat pay?!? WTFO!)

Chrono Aviation has treated me very well in the past. I enjoyed working for them and my co-workers for the most part although young, were energetic and keen folks. Management is fairly easygoing and easy enough to get along with. The CP on the - side of things truly is a gem and a gentleman. I ran into him by chance the other day and it was a great reunion to say the least.

Do I agree with their having bonds? -No. Is it a perfect company? -Nope. Is there such a thing as a “perfect company”? -We all wish there was and that we were employed by them!

With that said, I still contract myself out to them on my days off from my regular job. If anyone has any questions about working for this company feel free to PM me. There are far worse companies out there that one could unfortunately work for.

Funny no one on these threads is eager to actually Start an aviation company.

One would think by these threads the opposite would be true, with unlimited high paying clients and unlimited, loyal, low paid employees lined up to work hard.

Like Trudeau says, the finances almost run themselves beautifully, its so easy.

If the internet is to be believed, anyway.
