I have always wanted to create such a forum, however the use of names has always resulted in complaints.
Can you provide a solution?

Just out of curiousity, why would people complain if someone posted "looking for .... .... (insert name)"? It's not like you are saying something bad about the person, or making fun of them. The name is just posted as a way to find lost friends/pilots who would probably be pretty happy to hear from you.

Because it gives someone the ability to reply with a "yah I saw him, he's a...." remark. Yes the moderators can take care of this, but some stuff, if left on avcanada for even an hour an destroy a person's image.

Ok, understood, but what about a no reply post option? You can only PM the author. If someone does write something stupid, only the author of the post can/will see it.
MAN I'm bored....

The new forum has been created
http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewforum.php?f=51
I am going to limit access to who can post or move topics into this forum to moderators only.
I might change this latter.
I am also going to open this forum up to remember anyone who has passed that had a love for aviation.
