Hello
Just a quick question whether Jazz has hired pilots in their 50s? A lot of companies seem to be afraid to hire someone older than your “normal” hire.

Thanks in advance and fly safe
Theoretically they can't discriminate based on age. And given Jazz's current need for pilots, I would say anyone with a pulse and can pass the sim evaluation is likely going to be hired.

“Anyone with a pulse”!!!!! Too funny , if it’s true wow they’re desperate!
Thanks for the reply
I checked online and says "Submission Status: Completed". Does it simply mean they have all the info required and they are still debating whether to send a PFO or offer letter?

Welcome to gaslighting central....
Now in response the the OP, absolutely no problem. I was hired at 50 along with 2 very good friends of mine. All 3 of us are extremely happy at Jazz with no intentions of moving anywhere else.

Hey, good luck!
I’m curious, at 55 you’re writing your IATRA, is this a second career or some other reason you don’t have an ATPL?

I applied recently with no contact from them. I would be safe to say their requirements are more than you have indicated.

As a student I have now lost my second flight instructor to Jazz. The first one did maybe 3-5 months at a 703 before being hired as an FO on the RJ. The second, a smart, personable guy who started in aviation as a second career, is due to start his initial sometime in the next few weeks - he's going directly from instructing to Jazz, with about 1,300 hours TT.
