Any thoughts or has anyone on here used the Pilot Career Center resume and interview prep services?

I have applied recently to some operators without success. This is my 1st time applying to 705 operators.

I had them do a resume for me mostly because I am lazy. They have you fill in a bunch of blanks and then you get a nicely polished product which you can edit as your experience builds.
I thought it was worth the money.

I just sent you a PM. I personally wouldn’t recommend that you spend any money on this.

I have no doubt that there are several others on this site that would gladly review your CV/cover for free. There are however a few unscrupulous individuals here (KD immediately comes to mind) whom will surely offer you help for a fee. Wholly unacceptable in my books.

Personally, I believe interview prep can be worth every penny if done properly. Interviewing, is a skillset and some people are good at it and some aren’t. ( I fall into the last category)

When it comes to PCC. .. If you can actually get a hold of them by email I’d imagine their course could be quite good. I’ve reached out several times and it’s radio silence…not very good when you’re advertising a professional service.

Some tips that work for me:

-Make a list of possible questions and scenarios
-get used to the question format : SAR ( situation, action, result)
-look online at questions / technical pilot questions.
-use a buddy / girlfriend / partner to quiz you.
-you could use a non-aviation career coach but it generally goes poorly ( eg. What’s RVOP / LVOP .. why are you using these acronyms? Or, what are minimums .. what’s an ILS approach .. stop using technical jargon to stump the interviewer .. ” the “ prep” usually goes downhill from there.
