I know of 3 Jazz guys on the July 24 course but there may be more. I am a Jazz guy but have been on leave since Aug 2003. I do not have a date yet but was told to expect one this fall (Aug/Sept).

I do not think a Aug date has been set yet but if I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

q400, did they call you for a medical first, since you were on leave for so long or did they just offer you the position assuming you pass the medical?

Does anyone if the Jazz folks get medical calls or just the interview and then the job offer, medical is assumed because of your Jazz background.

thanks.

Because I was over seas it is cheaper for them to do the med, interview, testing all at once, rather than fly me back twice. So I had it all done at one time.

thanks, so then everyone (jazz employed) are given a medical prior to job offer?

I assume if you don't do it right away like yourself they will call you later for it, sound right?

Yes, Jazz pilots interviewed are required to do the medical as well.

So anybody else get a call for August yet?

Read in one of the previous posts a while back that AC was looking to turn it up a notch by trying to run two courses (40 newhires) a month starting August or late summer early fall, can anyone confirm this?

Fan the flames...

I can't tell you what aircraft exactly. What I can tell you is that the position, no matter what the aircraft, is bent over!

I was told by the AC hiring woman last week that the plan is to do 2 courses a month of approx 12 instead of one of 18-20. Since May there has been one larger class per month, now they will try 2 smaller ones... Overall number of people per month should rise slightly. They would like to take more but the lack of sim time will not allow it.

Cheers still waiting for a start date, hopefully see some of you there...
