Porter Western Canada Base

I've heard rumors of Porter opening a base out west somewhere. Any truth to it? Any info on timeline or location?

Everything is a rumour. Until it gets announced. Fortune favours the bold.

In a manuscript from our latest town hall prior to Christmas, this question was asked. The CEO's answer was something along the lines of "at the end of our growth plans". Some of us Western commuters were hoping for things to move a bit faster. Perhaps his answer refers to a brick and mortar base, vice virtual base. The partnership with Alaska airlines has me questioning their intentions and how quickly they would pull the trigger, as Alaska serves all the major US Western destinations. For a full Western base, they would require Q400's to connect all the towns and cities from the Island, and AB/BC.
