New Canadian Ultra-light Rules. Transport Canada ultralight registration ammendment

Post by flysportstar »

Transport Canada wants to amend the definition of “ultra-light aeroplane” to clarify that an ultra-light aircraft is one that is registered as such."

We want to bring to their attention the fact that aircraft meeting the design limitations of an ultra-light, if registered as a "amateur built, would no longer be allowed to be operated by an ultra-light pilot permit holder in Canada.

Please contact transport Canada to let them know that this amendment will affect a lot of pilots who have been flying their aircraft for many years, and will no longer be able to do so. This also affects float and night ratings in some aircraft.
