Dash to E2
How long does it currently take for a Dash pilot to flow into the E2? And how long for Dash PIC to flow onto E2 PIC? Can Dash PIC go right seat E2, and same question how long is the timeline for that? Are there rumours of them stopping the flow or slowing it down? Do dash pilots keep their YOS and seniority ?
Re: Dash to E2
Things are changing quickly so it's difficult to get an accurate picture of current wait times. The company has announced a minimum flow of 3 Captain's and 3 FO's per month from the Dash to the E2. New tails are coming and coming fast, once the direct entries dry up anything could happen. Some will not want to flow as they don't want to commute, others may leave for other airlines. It also depends how many FO's upgrade to Dash CA, as that could hold back Captain flow to the E2. So take these number with a grain of salt, but as it stands now with that flow agreement, and the seniority numbers of people moving today, I estimate:
CA-CA 2-2.5 Years
FO-FO 3 Years
There is some credit for YOS when you transfer fleets, but it's not year for year. And one seniority list for all. If you get hired on the E2 today you will be behind everyone from the Dash fleet as they start to flow.

Given the mass hiring that’s going on right now on the E2, could this flow suddenly stop? And are there any word about how long hiring on the E2 is expected to go on until they’ve reached full capacity (at which time I’m assuming the flow will stop as well)
Re: Dash to E2
No one has a crystal ball in that sense, we cannot say for sure how long hiring will go on or whether they will honour the flow long-term. As Porter is not unionized the company reserves the right to suspend or alter flow at any time. However, they have made this commitment to the pilots and its our understanding that hiring and flow will continue until at least the end of 2025.
