Whats the Process of getting your Medical Renewed if you miss the renew date?

Hello, I am just wondering when I get my medical renewed. It says on my certificate that my examination date was 2023/04/11 and my issue date was 2023/05/16. I am wondering if it is 12 months counting after the examination date or the issue date.

Also, I am wondering what is the process that happens after I miss my renewal date. Do I go back down to CAT3 and I have to do all the different tests again, like Electrocardiogram, eye test, etc.

Obviously it's a late reply, and hopefully you got it sorted out, but yes, when you miss your renewal of a cat1, you downgrade to cat 3. No need to do a new ECG (unless you need it as per your age - above 30 you need one at least every other year) or audiogram. Just call your local CAME and book for a TC CAT 1.

You don't downgrade. You can execute the privileges of a cat 3, but your medical is still a cat 1. But other than that it's just a renewal indeed that ticks of all the boxes that you might have skipped over the years.
