Single Pilot rating
Good day!
Would anyone know if a left seat ride is equivalent to single pilot rating on a hp aircraft? Or the CARS associated with this. Specifically, I'm typed on a C25B, left seat check coming soon. I'm looking at some potential SP contract work in the future.
Thanks

A left seat ride typically means you are qualified to act as pilot-in-command, but it doesn't automatically equate to a single pilot rating. For specific CARS guidance, check the regulations related to single-pilot operations and your aircraft type to ensure all requirements are met.

Re: Single Pilot rating
Interesting question. I know FSI offers a C25S type but that’s a blanket single pilot for the entire CJ series and is usually done by FAA guys. In Canada you need the specific type to fly a specific CJ, for example a C25M cannot fly a C25B without a new initial on the C25B. Maybe you’d need a C25BS type for single pilot on the CJ? Great question. I’m curious to see if anyone knows.

Re: Single Pilot rating
A 2 crew PPC for 703/704 ops is different than a single pilot PPC so no it doesn’t count. For 604 ops it seems to be a grey area.
