Just curious if you had a recruiter call you or not. Talked to one and they told me to watch my email but that was 2-3 weeks ago and still nothing as of yet

Nope :( no call yet... still waiting. When did you apply and how long did it take to get the first call?

No new hire classes for the summer months as mentioned in another thread. This is common for how Jazz did things in the past.

You'll have to wait it out. That being said, HR continues to work. If there's no PFO it's because they're holding out for a fall/winter G/S.

Thanks for letting me know!
Do you know how long it takes to get the first call?
Out of curiosity, what's PFO?

There's no good answer to how long unfortunately. It varies depending on how HR's timeline is.

I've also heard the rumours of no ground school this summer... but hoping they are not true .

Talking with my peers that went through in the last 6 months (3 successful - 2 started and 1 on June course) the response times varied but were generally within a week. My response times so far are as follows:
  • Received Hirevue link 2 days after applying
  • Received call 1 day after completing Hirevue questionnaire
  • Received call 6 days after completing the interview
  • Received reference request 7 days after SIM Evaluation
Been 6 days now and no additional contact. I checked with one reference and they had not yet been contacted. I have not checked with the other two.

“Dear Sir/ma’am,

After reviewing your application in depth, we regret to inform you that we have decided to not continue with your application. Thank you for your interest in working with speedtape airlines,

Sincerely,
HR”

This is an example of a PFO letter, and as mentioned above, it means exactly that : please f@çk off

Luckily most airlines only want you to not talk to them for 6 months. So feel free to reapply in 6 if you get one. Anyone on avcanada that says they never got one is a liar.

I applied end of March or so. Then received a call as I had only selected one base which won’t work for the way the G/S bids work. Once I changed to any base she said I met the requirements so still waiting for the email with the questions.

I'd be very surprised if they did run classes in the summer, let's put it that way. I think it's more than rumor at this point,

Just realized I only selected one too. Just changed it to all of them on my application. Although, I had selected "willing to relocate"

Hey CaptDukeNukem, I didn't get a PFO yet 😂 So let's hope it's a good sign. Also didn't get an email, so we'll see. It's been almost a month now since I applied. I see that BetterLateThanNever got the 1st email after just a week. Maybe I did something wrong on the application 🤷🏼‍♂️

Took me over 2 months from application to first contact. Then from first contact to job offer took over 4 months. Last year.

Does anyone know when the last ground school before summer break will be? June 3rd? June 24th? Are those classes already full?

Was told no ground school until maybe late-August but more likely early-mid September

Generally you should get a response with link to questionnaire about experience within a week and a week after that, a call from HR to confirm your details and schedule your interview.

I got a call today for an August 6th ground school date. I guess the summer pause is ending earlier than expected.

Can I ask what your experience level is? I did the sim eval with Jazz in Cyvr, reference checks completed. Haven't heard back since then. That was 3 weeks ago

Prior recent GS have been undersubscribed. This likely is just an attempt to catch up.
