A good example why AMEs are leaving this industry.

Wage is subpar to say the least. I am sure many will apply hoping to move back to the island.

What a garbage industry this is! I entered the workforce back when the minimum wage was $12.50. It was during that time that they were paying endorsed AMEs this kind of wage and that just doesn't cut it! Can people here with more experience than me tell me if an ACA is worth it? Lol! These apprentices are not going to last which means these employers and fresh recruits are just wasting their time! What is the point of getting into this industry for low pay and high expense if you have no intention to progress to do ACA work?

This industry is a joke and I'm no longer in it! I can't make a living out of it! You're looking for an AME with 30 years of experience and have the right endorsement/s and you're gonna pay him $35/hr? 10 years forward and it's still like this? Lol! This industry have never changed! How pathetic!

I don't think you'll see anyone with any substance apply, even to get back to the island. I'm in New Brunswick, and was hiring 2 years ago. Our starting pay was much more then that. I worked out west for many years and worked with alot of maritimers. And when we were hiring I was expecting to get a bunch of resumes from people looking to come home. When in reality I only received 3-4 resumes with any substance. The rest were all from over seas.

But these low pay wages need to stop, when will these particular companies learn that they need to up the game?!
