Long time ago WJ did the same thing in Las Vegas.

You can’t really make pilots takeoff while not on the runways centreline for a loft, but you could give them the same weather and runway as that day. Fuel problems would be an event you could make into a loft.

Huh? They got airborne in half that distance… they hit left side lights and tried to correct the track once they knew what they did wrong. Did you actually read the report?

When the aircraft began to rotate, approximately 4650 feet from the point at which it had begun the take-off roll, it remained about 40 feet to the left of the runway centreline. At no point did the aircraft reach the centreline.

the captain taxied the aircraft off the taxiway centreline marking in order to increase the runway distance available for takeoff. In doing so, he had even fewer visual cues on which to rely to determine the aircraft’s position on the runway.

Personally, I think the fuel scenario post take off would be a great LOFT, but hitting the edge lights cuz of an improper line up turn is not something that constitutes a recurrent LOFT script.

Maybe if the FO wasnt doing a checklist in low vis while lining up, this could of helped!

I wonder if Jazz has procedure for checklist in low vis
