Canadian Air Charters - YVR
Anyone know any details about this company beyond the website? Is it a good place to work?

They fly clapped out navajos, and they have a cheyenne. Met the guys on the ramp the odd time...seemed like good folks. I would just make sure you watch out for yourself, and make sure the aircraft is up to your standards, and you'd probably be fine. I can't speak to the actual condition of the aircraft, but they looked pretty tired, as many cargo machines do.

As it stands now, they are currently the second best 703 operator to work for at CYVR. ...
They do not sell PPCS. This is guaranteed. Good staff, good job bringing in DC, planes are getting redone. Company cares about safety and its employees.
I dont work there, but work with them on a daily basis and have nothing but good things to say.
But dont forget they still are # 2........

" does tc look carefully at these operators? "
Well TC looks at the paper work and the fees that every new company generates.
And you can bet they look carefully, the more times they find something to generate another rewrite of said paper work the better they like it.
So to answer your question, yes.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

I expect that given how poorly the former occupants fared in the regulatory and safety environment that TC likely does offer better oversight of the latter. It would be nice if Labour Canada got off their asses as well.
I'm constantly amazed at the difference in quality between the float operators on the river, and the 703 wheeled equivalents. It's as if they are on different planets.

Don't expect "APEX" to last... Canada Jet tried that one several years ago but were forced to change it to "Pinnacle" after Airborne Express "ABEX" complained it was too similar.gonefishin' wrote:"ADONIS" is no more, its now "APEX"...
