Pay Question 320

Post by ERJFOYYZ »

The 320 is considered out of the pay group. Is it 42.5 second year or do FOs who bid it go to some hourly rate?

It's still 42.5 for the second year.

thanks traf, i know a bid we be out soon, they were telling us that everyone thats goes to class in the next month, will be able to go to the left seat of the erj. Have u found that has changed in the minds of many, or are many going to the 320 to ride it out. The money as an erj cap would be nice, but i thinkl my quality of life might be better in the right seat of the 320 whats your take

Well first of all I'm not traf!

Hard to say as everyone has a quite a varied outlook and perspective on what would be better. The movement on the EMB is happening so quickly that many new hires from the latter part of last year are already enjoying nice schedules, while others are going to the 320 so they can await better pay when the flat sal. is over. As for EMB Capt. that one is a bit different as my take on it would be that the only enticing value it may currently hold for more junior people is the substantial increase in pay over the other 2 positions.

lol, sorry for getting the name wrong! I would imagine the quality of life for a junior Emj cap is not very good. I live in the US, so for tax reasons i need to keep my flying south bound to avoid cdn taxes. Maybe the bus is the way to go, sure sucks to go back to training that quick

If it sucks that badly, sit where you are, maintain your current equipment and enjoy the move up in relative seniority. You don't have to change.
