ECC Economy Class Contract

Post by Apestogetherstrong »

Can you guys step down already. Why wait till the vote comes out. Didnt you guys say that it was alpa policy that union reps cannot influence your decision. Yet you threatened us that if this gets voted NO you will resign. How childish…

You screwed your juniors hard. You didnt get us B1 passes. You didnt get a proper vacation. You didnt fix the best fit bs. You lost profit share. What QOL gains were you able to achieve??? None. This is pathetic. Its ECC. ECONOMY CLASS CONTRACT.

SIMPLY PUT, you didnt fight for us. Should have told them on the 15th to fix first four years of pay or we will issue the notice. You gave up. Even the LEC Voted this 6 to 4. Even your own reps were not unanimous in this decision.

ECC!!!!

Send this as a dart. And ask her in person at the roadshow. I'd like to hear what answers she comes up with.

It doesn't matter. We're all in this together. This deal stinks for at least 10 different reasons.

What does that have to do with anything. Imagine it’s their first week here. What then? Just shut up and be happy to work at AC?

Company troll. They're panicking that this might not pass so they're trying divide the pilots by generation.

They left no penny on the table, but pennies keep falling on the table.

It's funny but out of the couple different forums where I've see this TA being discussed the only place where I see pilots getting divided by generation is here.

The MEC Chair and Vice Chair are FOs.
Both well into the bottom half of the seniority list.

1/2 the status reps that voted are FOs.

By my count 4 FO and 2 CA reps voted yes for the deal. While 3 CA and 1 FO rep went against. Not a particularly senior group of reps. Most are in the middle band of seniority, 10-15 years in at most. Two are junior WB CAs, I think the YYZ Chair is the most senior of them all and he voted against!

All the more reason to send them all back to the table. If the company and union are currently working to ensure this TA passes, surely they can come up with a new, properly negotiated deal the pilots will support. None of this back room dealing outside of negotiating. Get back in there. Everyone with eyes can see there is blood in the water. The pilots will always have the final say.

The trend and essentially loose precedent in Canadian labour relations is towards seeing TAs voted down and tweaked, not FOS arbitration. We have a well versed arbitrator in Kaplan at hand. The MEC is doing a good job of ignoring alternate narratives, not to mention our own past history and in particular FOS. TA1 was voted down and then we had about 9+ months of bargaining. FOS was, among other things, a result of the Co stock at about $1, and underwater pension, and an impending strike by the IAM. That is not the case here, and your MEC's ignorance in that regard is both broad and suspect.

There are clearly a number of areas where the TA can be tweaked easily and cost effectively - There is no reason to believe the company would not make an earnest effort to consider a re-work

Waiting until next time means we will have barely implemented the 'gains,' other than pay.
