What would you do in a fresh CPL's shoes?

Good day all,

Recently graduated (August 2024) from a Canadian college with a degree and a fresh CPL Multi IFR, 266 hours and SAMRA & SARON exams completed.
Throughout the last couple of months I have applied to 30 or so operators and have gotten back a couple No's and nothing else. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone has some wisdom they'd like to share with regards to what you would do in my shoes, and in a lot of other people's shoes as I'm sure many are in the same boat. I've reached out to a few people in the industry and asked to put in a good word for me, so here's hoping that leads to something worthwhile.

To be clear, I knew it wouldn't be an easy road to that elusive first job, though any guidance would be hugely appreciated.

Fixed wing has a huge advantage vs rotary wing. You can do instructing to build hours, while you get that PIC that will be needed for ATPL. So do that. Schools generally hire, and if you don't have your Class 4 yet, try to find a school that will hire you if you are successful and try to get that in writing.

+1 to this. Not sure if they will give it to you in writing but worth a shot. Get involved and make it clear you want to work there. Ask if they would consider you. Work hard at the FIR and have a good attitude. A lot of schools will hire those they trained if you have a good relationship with them.
