Post by Bryce55 »

Hey what the normal time for them to get back to you about your resume? I heard they’re packed with applications just if anyone has anymore info on the dash’s applicants

Continuous hiring on the Dash. Expect calls in a matter of weeks if applied for FO and days if for captain.

Classes continue on the E2. I think we are at class 29 sometime this week, and 30 in the New Year.

Thanks for the info. Applied back in October for Dash FO, however I'm pretty sure there are plenty of more experienced candidates. The application status never changed from 'submission received' though.

Yeah I did the same in October I wanna know what other people have for experience cause I’m 1100 with being on an atr since 250 so these other guys must be stacked in my mind

I applied around the same time with <1000 SEP and got an interview right away, though I was already in destination porter. Some of my coworkers with more time than myself said they were told >1000 with 703/704 would be the minimum. They've also been running a few sim evals here and there for applicants with less than 1500.

They told me you hear back within a week after interviewing but then got back within the next day or two. Depending on experience you'd do a sim eval which could be anywhere from next month to 2+ months. I know instructors with 2000 hours that had to do the sim eval, and guys with 1000 but mostly king air that didn't so I believe they base it more on previous aircraft rather than 1500 TT which I think used to be the criteria.

got a call for E2 but not dash even though dash went under review way before. Looks pretty slow.

It is. Since more people are under the TT for the Dash 8 and less for the E2, you are more likely to be called for the E2 if you have the time...

Quick Google search will show other forums discussion confirming this "theory".

What I want to know is - what kind of sim eval they running. I mean they don't really expect people without any E2 or Dash 8 experience to perform well on that sim, right?

Also it depends which base your are applying for. The more populated one (e.g. YYZ or YTZ) have higher requirement and coincidently more applicant as the area is far more saturated.
Mine kinda initially changed to "not moving forward" within a day, than to "under review" and stuck there every sense, even though I meet their criteria (for the Dash 8).

I don't really know what to make of them, they become highly unexpected.

That is actually not bad. They have a different timing for Dash and E2. E2 have higher requirement, thus less candidate, thus more likely to be contacted faster. Same goes for direct captain entry.
They contact people closer to their course dates from my understanding.

Being under review at least means you are not rejected. Don't hold back, don't stop your life - do anything as if you never applied. If they contact you - great, but don't bet on them - they are highly unexpected, particularly, and I assume, since you applied for the Dash 8.

No way! That’s cool. What’s your experience and TT? When did you apply and got a call?
