Hey everyone!
I’m launching this aviation education initiative for IFR training in Canada and I’d like to invite you to the first live seminar happening on August 9th. It’s completely free, and my goal is to provide value and insight into being a safer, more confident and competent IFR pilot.
I’m a captain with Canada’s largest airline and have been actively involved in flight instruction for over a decade—from flight school Cessna's and Cirrus aircraft to CAR 705 training departments and everything in between. Throughout my career, I’ve noticed something: IFR training is underserved, and many pilots don’t get the kind of structured, real-world mentorship they need to succeed out in the real world.
It’s the kick-off event for an upcoming online IFR training platform that I’m building geared toward General Aviation.
- You’ll join a live session via Microsoft Teams
- The seminar will cover topics like practical IFR planning, weather interpretation, single-pilot resource management, automation management pilot decision making and handling in-flight abnormalities
- Q&A time will be allotted
- No cost — just come and learn and join the community
This isn’t just about one seminar. My goal is to create a strong online community of IFR pilots, supported by live sessions, tailored in-person briefing's and flight training. This is about improvement and safety is the shared mission here.
If this sounds like something you’d be into, DM me your email or contact info, and I’ll send you the Teams link for the free August 9th seminar.
Let’s raise the standard of IFR flying—together.
If you're interested in joining, send me a brief message or email me at:

Love the roll out plan and out of sheer interest of continuously learning, will probably send a DM.
With that said, and I mean no offence but can you perhaps announce yourself publicly prior to? Should your initials not be KD then disregard.
