Good day folks
Wondering what are the alternatives for floats for a Cessna 180? Currently using edos 2870. Nothing wrong with mines but perhaps there are other options? Like something with compartments and a flat top to hold all on….

Re: Cessna 180 on floats
I’ve flown the 2960s which didn’t have hatches or a flat top, probably basically the same as yours. I know the wip 3000s have hatches and a flat top but never flown them. I’d be willing to bet they handle bigger water better thoughtazin river wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 2:33 pm Good day folks

Re: Cessna 180 on floats
Owned a 57’ 180A operated on 2870’s for over a decade.
Helped give a buddy of mine his float rating on his 180 which was kitted out on almost brand new PK 3000’s last summer.
I was immediately sold. Flat tops, big hatches and very very forgiving…. but yikes! They are expensive.
All the best,
