Failed instructor rating

After going through the flight instructor training for almost 2 years, went through 3 Class 1s, I decided it wasn't for me.

Right now I am in Vancouver with about 350 Hours, looking for a ramp job up north or local, trying to find a part time job so I can balance my living.

Thought about doing the float rating but that will cost me another 15 Hours(for competitiveness) and a temporary stay in Kelowna, so I don't just have the basic float. Anyone can share their float jobs experience here? How long would it take to build 500 float PIC including time being a dock hand?

Any hour building jobs in Vancouver anyone can suggest at this time of the year?
