Wetaskiwin Aerial Applicators Ltd. requires 2 qualified commercially licensed fixed wing Professional Aerial Applicators for the 2026 season to fly an Air Tractor 502/504/402 or similar aircraft.
Applicants must have or be:
1. a minimum of 3 years or 500 hours aerial application experience, liquid and/or dry
2. a minimum of 500 hours single pilot turbine experience (including a minimum of 100 hours on the Air Tractor 502/504/402 or similar)
3. an excellent working knowledge of dynanav/satloc/agnav/tracmap/tabula GPS systems and associated flow control devices or similar
4. an Alberta aerial pesticide applicator licence
5. acceptable by our insurer with a 5 year accident-free record
6. proficient in numeracy, reading, writing and speaking English
7. competent at task planning, organizing and decision making.
8. bodily able to perform a physically demanding job in a fast-paced environment
9. Valid fixed wing commercial pilots license
10. Able to work across central Alberta with main base being Wetaskiwin, AB.
11. a valid driver’s licence (minimum Alberta class 5 or equivalent)
12. a good honest attitude with integrity
Beneficial assets to have or be:
1. other provincial aerial pesticide applicator licenses
2. forestry work experience
3. mixing/loading aerial application ground crew experience
4. spreading or seeding experience
5. oilfield pipeline, right-of-way or similar survey or aerial application experience
An abbreviated list of required duties is to:
1. fly a fixed wing turbine aircraft safely and efficiently with an aerial application guidance GPS
2. work with customers to create work orders, organize product and other required materials
3. work in a professional manner with all individuals
4. perform daily checks on the aircraft and ground support equipment
5. keep work orders, job sheets, logbooks organized and up to date
6. be available to work when conditions are conducive to aerial application
7. maintain a current fixed wing Commercial Pilots License and Provincial Aerial Pesticide Applicators License
8. perform elementary maintenance
9. follow and obey the CARs
Wages are as follows:
1. Starting salary wage at a rate of $10,000 CAD per month with bonuses based on performance, safety and production
2. Wages are negotiable based on experience
3. Workers Compensation coverage as required by law
4. Contractors are welcome
Employment Term: Seasonal - Full Time from May 1, 2026 to November 1, 2026.
