Brandon Flight Centre operates primarily as a professional flight school. We also serve the aviation industry by providing a full-service FBO and AMO to all air traffic to Brandon Municipal Airport. Owned by the Brandon Flying Club, we maintain a friendly atmosphere that remains true to our long history of leaders in the Manitoba Aviation community.
We empower our team in independent work and collaborative problem-solving to serve future generations of aviation. The candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for working with management to ensure the safety of flight operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supervise all flight and ground training conducted by the flight training unit (FTU).
* Supervise and mentor all flight instructors.
* Standardize instructional techniques and ensure instructors follow approved procedures.
* Conduct instructor training, evaluations, and recurrent standardization.
* Monitor student training records and progress.
* Ensure the training program complies with the standards required by Transport Canada.
* Promote and enforce safe operating practices.
* Ensure instructors and students follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
* Maintain accurate training records and instructor qualification records.
* Train and qualify new instructors.
* Conduct initial instructor training and provide guidance on instructional methods.
* Ensure the flight training unit operates in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
* Act as the primary liaison with Transport Canada regarding training matters.
* Assist management with scheduling, instructor staffing, and training capacity planning.
* Participate in audits or inspections conducted by regulatory authorities.
Candidate Requirements:
* Must be eligible to work in Canada.
* Must hold a valid Class 1 or 2 Flight Instructor rating.
* Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license.
* English proficiency (ICAO 6).
* Must be willing to relocate to Brandon, MB or reliably commute.
Compensation
Salary: $90,000.00 / year based on the successful candidate holding a class 1 license.
Bonuses for performance hours flown, paid per hour billed for advanced instruction.

Skill Requirements
