CorilAir is seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to lead our floatplane operations on DHC-2 Beavers and Cessna 206. This role is ideal for a strong float pilot who enjoys leadership, mentoring, and maintaining high operational and safety standards in a hands-on environment.
Position Overview
The Chief Pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CorilAir’s floatplane fleet, pilot supervision and training, and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with management and plays a key role in shaping company culture and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day float operations
• Supervise, mentor, and standardize company pilots
• Pilot scheduling and operational oversight
• Ensure compliance with CARs, Company Operations Manual, and SOPs
• Liaise with Transport Canada
• Assist with hiring, training, and recurrent checking
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
Minimum Requirements
• Valid Canadian CPL
• Minimum 1,500 hours total time
• Minimum 1,000 hours float time
• Experience on DHC-2 Beaver and/or Cessna 206
• Solid working knowledge of CARs and float operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Assets
• Previous Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot experience
• Experience in 703 float operations
• Instructor or training experience
