Note: This is a non-flying position.
Reporting to the Chief Pilot Narrow Body Jet, the B757 Training Pilot is responsible for the following:
- Monitoring the operation and identifying problems that may require the provision of extra training or changes to operational procedures;
Together with the Chief Pilots, the establishment of the standards and piloting techniques with which the flight crew will be expected to comply during flight operations and which the flight crew will be required to demonstrate during initial and recurrent checks;
Conducting ground and simulator training in accordance with the approved training program;
Supervision of the standards and recommend amendments to the B757 standard operating procedures;
Maintaining the training records;
Liaison with Crew Scheduling concerning training details; and
Any other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
- Airline Transport Pilot License, Group One Instrument Rating, and B757 or B767 type-rating. (Current or Expired);
Two years of experience on B757 or B767;
Intricate knowledge of CAR 705.124, CASS 725.124 and B757 FM, SOPM and ASM;
Demonstrated excellence in safety, communication, team building and conflict resolution;
Basic computer knowledge/skills;
Previous experience as a training pilot and/or flight instructor would be an asset;
The ability to travel to the United States for a minimum of a week at a time.
